Brazil Lithium Valley Exploration

Gold Mountain Limited (ASX: GMN) is an Australian, publicly listed company exploring for lithium in the highly prospective Lithium Valley of North-Eastern Brazil.

LITHIUM VALLEY PROJECTS

GMN Lithium Valley tenements have several high-calibre targets, each with significant potential:

    LOGRADOURO

    Over 250 known pegmatites

    • 93 samples have been collected from this tenement so far.
    • Lies along strike from numerous known tantalum occurrences and one known lithium occurrence.
    Icó

    Contains known beryl-producing pegmatite

    • Icó project contains known beryl-producing pegmatite with additional targets interpreted from satellite imagery.
    • The pegmatite is a post-tectonic pegmatite with a substantial quartz core visible in one side of the shaft.
    • Abundant perthitic feldspar, a quartz core and areas with small and large muscovite books.

Stream sediment sampling results contained lithium anomalies

    • Anomalies indicate LCT pegmatites within the tenement area.
    • LCT type pegmatites discovered on interpreted structures cross-cutting regional structural trends in suitable host rocks distant from exposed granites.
    • Lies in the northern part of the Seridó Li-Pegmatite field.

    Salitre South

Anomalies suggest at least two lithium bearing pegmatites are present

    • Soil sample results were interpreted, and anomalies were present, coincident or parallel to mapped possible pegmatites on the ground.
    • Pegmatites of two ages are present on the Salitre South tenement, one deformed and a second suite of undeformed pegmatites.
    • A second undeformed pegmatite has also been found.

    18 pegmatite outcrops recorded

    • 102 samples collected so far.
    • Areas with quartz-tourmaline float, a lithium-associated mineral, were found.
    • The extent of leaching of lithium, from spodumene in particular, was striking.
    • Lie along structural strike from the Oceana tenements and contain similar rock sequences and granite suites.
    • Occurrences of tourmaline were located near some satellite imagery anomalies.

    JUREMAL

Lies within the Sao Francisco craton

    • Highly weathered spodumene was found as float within and adjacent to tenement 870208/2022 at Juremal.
    • Rock samples confirm that the leached spodumene previously found is of substantial interest and remains a worthwhile target.

    18 pegmatite outcrops recorded

    • Lithium in soil anomalies reported on 10th January 2023.
    • The full extent of the lithium responses within the current area of known lithium anomalism is to be defined.
    • LCT pegmatites were confirmed from rock chip sample geochemical data

    Salinas

Pegmatites were seen in artisanal workings

    • Geology was found to vary slightly from biotite schists to low-grade biotite gneisses, with abundant outcrops in road cuts and occasional outcrops in more major creek beds.
    • Small to moderate-scale pegmatites were seen in artisanal workings which may indicate widespread lithium mineralisation.
